How to prevent low back pain at home

In this video I share a quick tip on how to prevent lower back pain while doing everyday activities that involve bending forward. Activities such as brushing your teeth, doing the laundry, doing dishes, etc.

This tip takes the pressure off the low back and discs and places it on your strong leg muscles.

      Thank you Doctor Guevara , truly appreciated for your advised. Last Monday I bent down to pick up something on the floor and when I get up my buttock and thigh hurt a lot now can’t walk because lot of pain. Doc please advise me . Thank you

        Hi Aleta,

        You have to be careful when bending down especially if you already have disc injuries in the back. Always bend using your legs instead of the waist.

        Watch these videos to learn how to prevent pain from flaring up when bending down or lifting objects from the floor.





        Ice the areas of pain for 20 minutes, 3 times a day to see if that brings some relief.
