In this video I demonstrate one of the most common ways to injure your low back and possibly damage your lumbar discs. Bending and twisting at the same time is a HUGE mistake and it is one of the most common reasons for disc herniations.
Avoid this movement at all costs. Instead, use your legs to pick up the object from the floor keeping your back straight, then turn using your legs NOT your waist.
